Does anyone else have any funny and irrational fears?
Example: I'm afraid of cans of biscuit dough. I'm afraid that one day my quest for buttery goodness will have me losing at a game of biscuit roulette. I will be opening a can, which will explode, and I'm left looking at the stumps where my hands used to be.

Cream - Yes I’m scared of this dairy product and I have no idea why. I don’t even like thinking about it. It makes me feel weird. I know it’s a silly phobia but the thought of eating it is unbearable. Or if someone uses the cream from a can it’s like nails on a chalk board to me and I have to look away too. I do like yogurt though!

Excavators. I am sure they are secretly sentient and will suddenly attack me.
Also tractors with very big wheels.
I'm 45.

Airplane bathrooms, its so hard to open the door when you're trying to get out and I get unrealistically scared that I'll be locked in there forever, and that the toilet could suck me into a dark abyss in the plane. Yes, I know none of this could happen, but some of those childhood fears just don't go away!

Sometimes I aways feel like a bad accident is gonna happen. Like a bad wreck or a shooting. Or someone gonna break in and kill me and my family. Sometimes it not that bad other times. It frightening to the core I don't why. Like just crazy stuff that has happened. I think I just have aniextiety and when I go places sometimes I think something bad might happen. Because sometimes bad things happen. And I don't want to see my kids get hurt......that my biggest fear. My family getting hurt. Aways aways worried about that a lot. Sometimes not. But sometimes......I know it is strange.

Butterflys and moths. If they get near me, I freak out. The worst part is actually having people see... 😒

I’m afraid of shower heads, and I have been for my entire life. Luckily I’ve gone from screaming and crying when just thinking about them, to just having an intense feeling of dread. I do take showers, don’t worry, but I can’t look at the shower head while doing it, I have to be quick (I probably don’t shower for more than four minutes at a time but I do make sure I’m clean), I can only shower at night, and I have to have music on.
I’m also afraid of change. I’ve been worried before that if I leave a room, and then come back, the furniture might be rearranged or the walls might be a different color, or that one day I’ll wake up and something will be slightly different. This fear is very mild but I thought I might include it.
Terrified of heights. Scared of what might happen once I die, especially since I’m not religious. Mildly afraid of texting. I have to check several times to make sure I sent my text to the right person. I’m worried that my reply isn’t what they want to hear, or that my tone might not be read correctly, or that the contact or phone number I have saved isn’t actually the person I’m trying to reach, even though it always is. I prefer talking in person, but that’s not always feasible.
I’m afraid of all insects, specifically a certain kind of caterpillar. I can never remember what they’re called, but they’re a kind of moth, they’re fuzzy and yellow, have two black antenna on the front and one on the back. I can’t even look at pictures of them. When I was younger, we went camping, and all the frogs were gone. Usually there were so many frogs that you couldn’t go anywhere without stepping on one, and they screamed like dying kids at night, which is probably why I’m also uneasy around frogs now. But instead of the usual frogs, there were now these f*****g caterpillars, and they were everywhere. They were on the tent, in the tent, on my clothes, in our food, just everywhere. And their heads would fall off and gather and in clouds at your feet…not to mention they had acid on their feet. And no one else was scared of them. It’s been years and I’m still absolutely horrified by them. They went away after a few years (thankfully, because they were also killing the trees with the acid in their feet), but then the frogs came back.
I feel like I have a good sense of humor about all this, but oh my god do these fears suck. Sorry for the long post, feel free to ask anything.

I’m from frightened of toothbrushes. It’s the sound they make that I simply can’t bear and turns me into a whimpering ball of fear. I can’t talk about them, look at them in the supermarket (I’m also from the United Kingdom of UK) or watch any form of advert where people are brushing their teeth.
I have to use an electric toothbrush as the motor sound masks that awful noise of scraping bone.

That the refrigerated biscuit tube will pop open while I'm peeling the paper off. Freaks me out

That while stuck in the Mammogram machine there will be an emergency, like the building catches fire or something to that effect, and I'll have to practically rip my own breast off to get out of the machine and escape the building.

I fear that my teachers have cameras in my house and they are always watching me. Anytime I pass where I feel they are, I flip them off with my pinkeys and ask them why me.
I think I need mental help ;-; Any suggestions?

Terracotta pots. I get anxious around them for no reason at all. If they're glazed, then it doesn't happen. Just the plain brown gritty ones.
My heart is pounding just typing this up!

Fish. I am incredibly scared of fish. no clue why, no clue where it came from. I don't leave near the beach (the closest one is like a 3 hour drive).
I went on a vacation to Florida once. beautiful clear blue water, white sand, no washed up seaweed. it was amazing. But, because the water was clear I could see small silver fish in the water. I ended up staying high up on a float for hours because I wouldn't touch the water. my dad has even threatened to take away my phone if I didn't try to swim.
needless to say, I don't like swimming anymore

I’m scared of fog patches that are at ground level. They freak me out and I hate having to drive through them. I also don’t like the dark or deep water where I can’t see the bottom (mostly the ocean).
