Does anyone else have any funny and irrational fears?
Example: I'm afraid of cans of biscuit dough. I'm afraid that one day my quest for buttery goodness will have me losing at a game of biscuit roulette. I will be opening a can, which will explode, and I'm left looking at the stumps where my hands used to be.

I have an irrational fear of hairy fruit. Kiwis, peaches, coconuts, etc. Produce of any kind growing hair like fibers freaks the hell outta me.

Super intense claustrophobia. I always like to be on the outside of groups of people and even looking at pictures of like mobs or large crowds makes me nervous. If I can't see a door from where I am, i feel trapped.
Weirdly, I also love sitting in tiny cozy spaces as long as I can get out really easily and quickly anytime i want to.
I'm also afraid of heights. And ladders. Omg i LITERALLY will not even stand on the top step of a four-step step ladder. Those spiraled staircases with spaces in between the steps are also a big challenge for me

I have irrational fears
They’re not funny though. Most of them are connected to my mom because she wrecked me. She reflected so many bad concepts onto me, like one time when I was 11 she was complaining about her weight.
My stomach looked bigger. I was scared that I’d blow up like a balloon.

One time, I was 12 and she noticed we had the same pant size, except her waist was 1 size bigger.
I didn’t have hips yet, I started falling into a bad place.

Eighteen days ago, I was nearly kicked out because my mom is transphobic but since that’s politically incorrect, she tried gaslighting me into believing that someone must have hurt my feelings for me to think about such “adult matters”
She was the only one who ever hurt me.
Ever.
Because she wanted me to be what I wasn’t. She wanted me to be her perfect daughter.

Hotel corridors. Analog horror fans don't act slick you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Wormy things with legs - grub worms in particular. I don't know why, and I know they don't bite, but I don't want to touch them. This also includes millipedes and centipedes, but mostly because of how creepy they look. And millipedes smell terrible if you squish them.

Bridges. I don’t know why but whenever I am on one I think it will randomly collapse

I don't like moths. I can hear them fluttering around, but I usually can't spot them. It gives me the w*****s. I don't mind snakes or spiders or stuff like that, but send a moth after me and I cringe.

Dogs, despite the fact that I have one and love her to death. All other dogs are demonspawn, though.

I used to have a fear that someone would strap rockets to my bedroom and make my room take off into space so I would fly up and freeze to death.
Yeah, kinda strange. It was because when I was a child, I went to a space museum, and they had this thing where you have to dress up the astronaut in appropriate clothes for space. Me, being like 5, dressed him up in random stuff like shorts. The sound of the astronaut freezing to death and me watching it happen was freaky to me.
Yeah, that was weird.

Butterflies. Yes, butterflies.
My family thinks it’s hilarious. I don’t know, it’s just something about their creepy legs and the fact that they fly way too close to me for comfort. I used to like them, we’d go to a butterfly garden occasionally and I’d always try to catch them, but we went recently and I was nervous the entire time, especially when a butterfly came flying in my direction.

Honestly I’m terrified of doctors
They just creep me out and it just feels scary and wrong to have someone else looking at my body, especially the private parts. Love them for saving people, but hate having to go to them

I am so scared of mirrors for literally no good reason. Like idk, they just freak me out like I can’t look in a mirror or anything. Apparently there’s a psychological thing where if you look at yourself through a mirror in a dimly lit room after you stare at your face for a while you will start hallucinating. Even the smartest people do it. You can’t control it. Idk, someone test it out for me, I can’t do it. 🪞🫣

I am terrified of bandaids and stickers. It freaks me out how they can be stuck to you at anytime without you knowing. Like if someone is wearing a bandaid I won't touch them at all. Or if a little kid offers me a sticker I literally can't take it.
