Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Tape the doors shut with some masking tape. Move the unit forward and then tilt the unit back very very slowly. Get somebody to Place cushions under the front legs. Untape the doors, open them, grab the plates/bowls. Go online and buy a rack for them to be stored in the cabinet properly.

Simple!
Judging by the handle, (lower left of picture), it is a sliding door... Slide the door a little to the right, enough to get your hand in, and start re-stacking the plates... they cannot fall forward any further.

Tie duct tape on a string then shimmy string behind cupboard to strategic points and pull tape from bottom to top. Repeat until plates are secure. Open cupboard.

Get a mattress and then open it, make sure there is a barrier like cardboard surrounding the mattress so that the plates don't fly anywhere

Slide door open until the door frame reaches near the plate. The pates are interlocked with each other their will be slight movement but it won't come crashing down. Use a bedding sheet to hold all plates and move plates back up into place safety.

Buy a glass cutter and cut the glass pane out of the one next to it then push the plates back on the shelf then replace the glass pane . Glass doesn't cost that much.

You need the Indian in the cupboard. Slightly open the cabinet enough to allow him to slide in and he will take care of everything.
