Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Hold door closed and gently tilt it forward until all the plates are a safe distance to the floor and at a controlled pace let them slide out onto a soft surface.

Make a 50 cm hole on the right side of the cupboard. Push some garden gnomes through the hole to help you out. Reward them one by one.

Slide the door to the right (it's a sliding door I presume) just until your arm fits in, then lift the plates.

Did you try removing the battery?

Cannot tell for sure from the photo, but it seems a sliding door to me. That means you have to take the grip and slide it to the right.

Get some heavy furniture sliders and carefully put them under the legs if the armoire, if possible. Slide it away from the wall, then tip it backwards to about a 45 degree angle, then the dishes will fall back in place. Open the door, take out any stacks of dishes, turn the armoire upright, put bowls back in proper place.

Don't.

I'd just remove the glass pane on the right and grab the dishes

You should be able to slowly open it and stick your left hand in to hold it from falling

Call the Enterprise and have them beam the plates out.

The truth is, there are no plates.

Move the cabinet away from the wall and at the back (depending on weather it's a cheap cabinet or not) there may be U shaped nails you can pry out to get to the bowls from behind.

Accept the new reality you live in where you'll never use a plate again.

While someone firmly holds the door in place unscrew the hinges of the door, then slowly tilt the door toward you while letting plates settle on the door as you lay it flat. The 2nd person can hold/catch any other plates that are at risk of falling. No broken windows or dishes. If the hinges are inside the doors then You're Screwed.

How this even happened, are you shooting abnormal activities movie in your house :)

yeah, best is to somehow spray soft removable insulation in there. The kind used to fill up walls.
Even better just 'break' the glass next to it and go in with your hand. Cut the glass next to it with glass-circle-cutter like what you see in the movies.
Go in if you can with one or two pillows and try to slide the whole thing/dishes back.
