Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

If you look at the cupboard door, it's one that slides. In this case it slides to the right. You can slide the cupboard door slightly to the right about an inch, then (as a previous commenter stated) slide a rigid piece of cardboard to keep the bowls together. Then work your way, slowly sliding the door right until you can access the bowls.

Turn the photo 90 degrees to the right. The bowls should slide back into place.

Stare at it for a while, in confusion. Then get a bucket of pillows, an incredibly fast ninja, and a net. Then, lie down on the pillows, cry to the ninja about life's unfairness , then cut the net into some art project to get your mind off of the whole matter.

Go in through the other side and drill a hole you can stick your hand through to reach the plates

Get someone to help you to gently lay the cupboard on its back then open it and remove the dishes.

I can't see the bottom of the cupboard so I don know if this will work. Here is my submission based on what I see. If you provide further photos, it would be easier. For instance, can you unscrew the hinges on the door? If so, that might be one option to unscrew the door and tilt it forward and reach the bowls from the top without letting any fall.
