Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Drill a small hole in the frame and fill the cabinet with Cheetos cheese puffs. It should only take ten bags or so... After the bowls fall, use them to eat the Cheetos. Everybody wins!

If the cupboard is not fastened in place, slide it out and gently tilt it back enough to prevent them from falling.

Break the window in the cupboard and push the plates back up. Not expensive to replace the glass.

Why about a zen way of dealing with this? 👼🏼
'Kintsugi (金継ぎ?, きんつぎ, "golden joinery"), also known as Kintsukuroi (金繕い?, きんつくろい, "golden repair"), is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum, a method similar to the maki-e technique.'

You gotta step on the loose board on the docks behind the kitchen, that'll get the bird away from the red herring...bring this to the trolls bridge he will let you pass.

Take a folded towel and push against the glass to bow it slightly inward (not too hard) and keep pressure on it as you ease the door open enough to slide your hand in. At that point you should be able to push the dishes back into place and then continue to open the door and straighten dishes until door is open and you can properly reset them.

It's simple. Get a couple of strong guys and pull the cabinet away from the wall. Then have them lean it back and use gravity to your advantage. You can safely open the cabinet and get the dishes out.

I would ask the audience first. If that doesn't work, jump the problem and move to the next cabinet.

Get a long framing square. Open cupboard 2 cm. Insert framing square. Slide up along glass. The L shape will be used to push against bowls. Some keeps holding the square and another person opens door slowly. Remove bowls. You may sacrifice one or two to save the rest.
