Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Take a large fly swat and slip it in sideways below the first plate. Now turn to support the weight of the plate waterfall. Have someone on standby with a quilt covered tray. When your ready, open the door quickly and the tray holder Rams the tray upwards, effectively pushing the whole lot back up onto shelf. If it doesn't work the broken plates will be on the shelf and not the floor.

Get an insurance for the plates before opening it, then break them all and get your money back from the government

Call Trump. Apparently, he alone can solve all of America's problems. And he will do it "very quickly"!

If they mean that much to you then cut out the pane of glass beside the fallen ones the remove the miscreant dishes. Downside is you will have to get new glass installed and should probably stack them better next time 😀

Stand underneath it with a worried face and your hands out then be very very still. Get someone to film you and put it on youtube with Mannequin Challenge in the title, tags and description. Make sure you are earning revenue from the views, that should get you enough money to replace your house.

Hermetize the lower part of the cupboard, pour gypsum inside, wait till it goes solid, open the cupboard and take your plates out of the gypsum.

Drill a hole from underneath the shelf below. Using a stick of some sort, attempt to either push the dishes back into place or hold them in place while the door is opened.

Slide cardboard in between the door and dishes. Whilst applying even pressure gingerly open the cupboard. Bend one side of the cardboard over to insert right hand into new faux cardboard door... using your right hand gently maneuver the dishes back.

Cut a hole in the side of the cabinet, reach in and hold them while you open the door. After, you can put the piece back that you cut out... Just make sure that side it against a wall afterwards so you can't tell. :)

It appears as though there are tons of dishers that we can see via this picture, so if some did break it seems it is ok....BUT what I would do in this situation is take a large tub of water and set it on the floor; un-hinge the door and slide a sheet to the level of the shelf and have 2 people pulling it tight, place the other end just above water level in the bucket and slowly open the cupboard and allow the dishes to slide down the sheet and into the water; they won't break eachother this way
