Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Unplug the cabinet for 20 seconds then plug it back in...

Cushion the area on the floor and counter near where it could land with pillows and blankets and things then open the cabinet to let one fall at a time like a reasonable human being.

Undo the hinges on the door while a friend holds the door in place. Once the hinges are off slide the door to the side while keeping the door up against the cupboard so the bowls don't fall until you can reach inside.

If the cupboard is movable tilt it forward and then slant backwards so the bowls can get back into the shelf. If fixed cupboard, the option is to cut the window glass with a glass cutter and slowly push and break it with a blanket to avoid cuts and to protect any falling bowls. Using the blanket push everything on yo the shelf and remove them one by one. Then replace the window pane!

Place a pillow on your table. Then put a portal heading to the pillow on the bottom of the cupboard, then release the door. All the dishes will teleport directly on the pillow, and you will be happy again :)

Knock down the wall behind the cupboard, take the back off the cupboard and move them. Then elect Donald trump as president of the kitchen. He will then get Mexico to pay for the wall.

tilt it backwards if possible. or move it so you can take the back off or cut a hole in the back.

Drill a small hole in the glass, just large enough to insert a wooden dowel. Use this to push and hold the plates back while you open the door enough to insert your hand and stop the crash.

Crack it open and slide some poster board in through the bottom to tip everything back in.

If I could see the entire cabinet I could tell if my idea would work, but here goes... if the cabinet swings open and you can access the bottom, get a stiff flat thin board, crack the door open a tiny bit and slide the board up from the bottom so it lies flat against the glass and has space on the right side. While holding it in place, open the door and reach around the right side to take out the dishes one by one

Send your cupboard in Space, watch them start to float, take your time picking and arranging them :)
Watch out for the landing back on earth, thou, it might be a little shaky ;)

Ask the plates (you have to be really loud since there is glass in the middle) what THEY really want. Don't be selfish, plates have feelings too and they may need to be in charge of their own destiny!
