Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Anime method: Declare the cupboard your enemy, make sure everyone knows. Push glasses up nose intensely, spin around dramatically and point at the cupboard because it is your enemy. Spend the next 5 to 6 hours alternatively powering up and yelling. After this point, your house and everything within 500 meters will have turned into a crater, except the cupboard, because it is your enemy. Comense epic battle with cupboard, defeat it after becoming enraged after it breaks a single dish.Buy new home

The back panel or top of cabinet may have screws. If on top, easy...Climb on ladder and unscrew. If on back panel, gently rotate till you can access screws and unscrew panel.

Get sturdy cardboard, slide up through door between plates and cupboard glass. Hold cardboard firmly. Open door slowly. It might help to have someone to grab plates, so you can open the door and hold the cardboard. Good luck.

Go to Kamar-Taj, see The Ancient One, be a sorcerer, find The Eye of Agamotto, reverse or stop time, arrange back, and you're done!

Put heeps of pillows on the floor or let someone hold a thick blanket under it while you open. Better if two of you hold the blanket while one person opens the door

You need to slowly tilt the cabinet backwards so that the plates will be against the back of the shelf. Then you can open the door.

Slowly turn the cupboard, so that it lays on the back, and nothing falls in the process but instead everything just slides into some caotic pile. Then open it.

Let them break and sell it as an expert's puzzle

Move the shelf slowly and pull it down on its back slowly, take someone's help. When the shelf is laid on the floor with the doors facing the ceiling, you can save most of your cupboards.

Gently take the cupboard and put its back on the floor. If you are careful enough, nothing should break. Open the cupboard, remove everything, put the cupboard back in place and replace the stuff into it.

"Maybe u can slide a piece of thin (but strong) layer of cardboard between the door and plates. That layer would help to keep the plates from falling (and breaking) when another person reaches in (from the sides) and collects them. Dunno. Just an idea, most probably not the best & working one tho. Good luck!" This was the best answer.

Find a thin, long and wide cloth and put it under the stacks by holding it from both sides of the sliding door. Pull it upwards slowly just to move the stacks into its original position. Once it is done, open the sliding door quickly and ready to catch the bowls with a huge and thick folded comforter. Good luck and all the best!

I think the opening of the door needs more information, is it hinged or sliding, it looks like a sliding door, therefore quite easily resolved done delicately.
