Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Take out the top two panes of glass. Brace the door so it doesn't open on its own. Then get a step stool and start gently taking them out, starting from the cascading ones in front and then addressing the leaning ones in the back. Good luck!

seems like smashing the glass on the right hand side is possibly the best way to get to the plates without smashing them, but then again if you smash the glass with something like a hammer it could maybe shake the plates and they could fall off.

Get a glass cutter, cut a hole just to the right of the bowl against the glass big enough for your arm to fit through and slide the bowls up and balance them on their shelf.

Take the risk, Slide open the door very slowly until just big enough for your hand to get in to hold the almost falling bowls to a stable position.

Dont open. Wait 'till plants grow and spiders build their webs. Then you can safely open. It's proven.

Take the cupboard with you in a plane, then ask the pilot to let it free fall for a few seconds, which will feel like zero gravity. Open the cupboard safely.

First.... open the wine and gently pour 2 glasses 3/4's full. Consume the one one the right first followed by the one on the left. Now carefully and quietly tip the wine bottle towards your lips... sip... don't guzzle. When the bottle is empty, call the Glass guy to cut the pane under and over the dishes... if you're still standing...!try to remember why you had the glass cut and follow your instincts. Then carefully open another bottle of wine...,

1 - Drill hole in the top of the cupboard; 2 - Pour in sand until full; 3 - open the cupboard slowly, you will have time to stabilize the plates.
Then, re-fill the hole, paint over it, job done.
