Get a ladder and very carefully take the wood off the top portion of the cupboard. Then take the top piece of glass out. That way you can reach in from the top and straighten out the plates and bowls.

Get some duct tape, take out bands long enough, slide them inside the cover through side or under depending on the hinges(sticky part facing in) stick them to the edges of the cupboard, make sure there is tension. After 8-9 straps it will be secure enough to open and handle

Get two people, take out the hinge screws, keep the door pressed in place. Slowly slide the door down, keeping it pressed aginst the bowls, until the second person can reach in the top and either remove or restart the bowls.
