Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Grab a couch cushion and a blanket. Take the blanket and have some help from family to pull it tight and under the cuburd. Place the cusion on th ground or on the counter top and open the cuburd and let them fall onto the blanket. The pillow is there in case of one bouncing off the blanket

It looks like a sliding door. Try to slide it a tiny bit (slowly!). Poke a balloon through and blow it up (use a balloon pump it it's too awkward). Tie off balloon with string or a balloon tie and repeat. When the cupboard is full of balloon, open enough to get you arm in and push the plates back.

With the help of others slide the cupboard and bend it backwards until the angle is enough for the door to be opened without the plates falling out. Take the plates out and put the cupboard back in the upright position then put back the plates.

Eat the right side of the mushroom, shrink, enter by a little hole then put the cupboards At the right piace. A mad hatter and a march hare can help.

Call trump and tell him to back where he came from. You'll feel good and then a dozen of broken plates don't really matter.

Lay the floor with mattress? Or whatever surface the plates will land on with pillows or mattrsses.

Cut the lower part of the window and slowly pull the plate one by one while holding the others with left hand. make sure to keep some paper or cloth or some water in bucket where the plate might fall. for keeping water you might need to cut the lower left window as well.

Lay padding on the floor where bowls might hit when they fall. Open door only slightly and slide in a 3 ft. long yard stick ruler to try to hold up the bowls as you open wider to reach in and save the stack. If a few bowls fall ---- at least you padded the floor.

Accept this conundrum as a new reality. If it helps you can think of it as a modern art piece exibiting the consequences of loving with possesion. If you love the plates you should just leave them in their new dispaced natural habitat. This is where they live now. But wanting to possess them would lead to them breaking....and you can't form a healthy relationship with something that is broken.
.....I mean, you would just be eating cereal off a pile of broken glass....that would be insane.
