Stuff deflater baloons nder the door leaving the open ends out, fill the balloons till they support the plates. Then carefully open the door and at least that might buy you a second to grab them without them crashing downward the moment the door moves.

Have your hubby tilt it back while you open and grab....or....slide a thin board or sturdy card board down the top to where it runs between the door and the China holding the China in place or scoot it back until you can grab safely.

If possible, remove the hinge pins. Slide the door to the right until you can reach in and grab the plates.

Remove the uppar wooden support and first remove the glass , then from top take the plates one by one , so that glass safe and plates also .

Break one of the top glass panes out completely so that it's safe to reach in and remove the bowls. It's easier to replace the glass pane than it is to replace that porcelain.
