The experts say in order to capture unique and funny photos, you need to be willing to step outside of your comfort zone. Forget safety and take some risks.
"It feels incredibly safe to profile yourself as the artist who creates beautiful, atmospheric images. On the other hand, it is terrifying to be the sniper capturing that one awkward or strange moment," notes DigiFoto's site. "To capture the raw, unfiltered reality, you will need to actively engage in ego management."
They add that you have to be willing to dare to fail in order to succeed.
If you want to try your hand at capturing images that could make it onto a list such as this one, you need to be there (and aware) when the weird moments happen.
"You must not lower your camera as soon as a situation starts to feel a bit awkward; often, the real release and the laugh only come in the second that follows the initial failure," advises the DigiFoto team, adding that pushing physical boundaries, and getting 'down and dirty,' can help you literally snap a different, unusual perspective.
"The visual joke rarely plays out at comfortable eye level," they say. "You will find that you need to make physical sacrifices to encapsulate the pure absurdity of a situation in a powerful composition."
