Last visit.
Look, faith is an incredibly important part of people's lives and I have no problem with that but when I'm paying for a doctor's visit I want some darn doctoring. With actual science and stuff.

Either way, she didn't get hired. Finding a decent editor is hard, man.
Professionalism is about more than having the right qualifications or knowing the technical side of a job. How someone treats the people relying on them matters just as much. The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development’s code of conduct emphasizes professional integrity, respect, and responsible behavior.
These standards matter across industries because doing your job well also means treating people fairly and giving them a reason to feel confident in your work.

A reliable professional should also recognize the limits of their knowledge. An IT specialist who guesses instead of admitting they don’t know the answer, or a contractor who takes on work they can’t handle, can turn a manageable problem into an expensive headache.
Being honest about what you can do and asking for help when necessary is far better than bluffing your way through a job and hoping nobody notices.

He prescribed me shampoo to fix my feet. He then argued with me about where my psoriasis is presenting. Its on my hands and feet yet he insisted it was on my head under my hair... I'm bald...

The same IT guy comes down and says "what idiot plugged this in to an unprotected outlet?"
You did.

EDIT: I should specify that I only lost trust in this particular doctor, once I changed doctors I got a much better one. Although to the other ones credit while the comment wasn't helpful they did recommend I see a psychiatrist.
Strong interpersonal relationships are an important part of professionalism. Clients shouldn’t have to feel stupid for asking questions. They deserve clear answers about what’s being done, why it’s necessary, and what it might cost.
A professional doesn’t have to agree with every request, but they should be able to explain their decisions without talking down to people. Knowing your trade is one thing; helping others understand what they’re paying for is another.

"I'm prescribing hypnotherapy. I've ALWAYS wanted to prescribe that! Sorry, it won't be covered by your insurance." And left it at that. never saw her again.

On a follow up appointment the tech removed my cast. PA came in to assess my arm and went to my non-broken arm. Assessed strength and range of motion and swelling and told me it seemed to be healing nicely. I told her that's great, since that one was never broken. Once she finished repeating the process on the arm that actually was broken she sent the tech in to recast my arm. I had to stop the tech from casting my non-broken arm. On my appointment paperwork she wrote that she recommended I take Ibuprofen for pain relief. That was exactly 2 sentences after where it stated NSAIDs (like ibuprofen) cause like threatening airway swelling in me. Same office wanted to charge me $50 every visit to sign a form that was literally one check box saying if I was cleared or not for full duty at work. One check box. No research required. I never went back.
Professional boundaries matter just as much, especially when someone has access to private information, personal spaces, or sensitive details.
Whether someone is handling confidential files, working inside a client’s home, or being trusted with personal information, they shouldn’t exploit that access or treat it as permission to cross a line.

Edit: for the records, my tonsils did not grow back.

I went to a walk in clinic next day, doc had me take a test, went "yup, congrats!" and referred me to my OB.

Mistakes happen in every line of work. A technician might misconfigure a system, a builder might get something wrong, or a consultant might give poor advice. What separates a responsible professional from an unreliable one is how they respond.
Owning the mistake, explaining how they’ll fix it, and being upfront about any consequences can help preserve a working relationship. Denying the obvious or blaming the client only makes a bad situation harder to resolve.

My driving instructor.
In Canada, insurance for young drivers is through the roof, but you get a good discount for taking a driver's ed course that pays for itself within two years. So you're nuts if you're a young man and don't sign up for the full course even if you know how to drive.
My instructor was a pretty intimidating dude who knew what he was doing except for one thing. He said
"Do what I tell you to do. But don't do what I do."
So for the first part of the first exercise on the way to the initial lessons in an open parking lot he proceeded to drive without a seat belt with one hand on the wheel, not signalling his turns, and breaking speed limits everywhere.
If I didn't already have a pretty good idea how to drive it would have scared the hell out of me... but it definitely cost him my trust.

I lived on the ground floor of a 5-story complex.
I wanted to relocate the sink, and doing so would take it from one side of a structural column to the other (wooden building, and these internal columns were typically 6, 2*6's nailed together).
I was trying to come up with a clever way to re-route the plumbing, and this guy just grinned and said, "Just cut through it and don't tell anyone".
I smiled, thanked him for his time, and don't let the door hit your a*s on the way out, pal.
One frustrating experience doesn’t necessarily mean someone is incompetent or untrustworthy. Sometimes expectations clash, people misunderstand each other, or a professional has a genuinely bad day.
The important thing is to look at what happened and whether it points to a bigger problem. A reasonable disagreement is different from repeated dishonesty, careless work, disrespect, or a refusal to take responsibility. Those patterns are worth paying attention to, especially when your money, time, or well-being is at stake.

The "doctor" asked my parents if me and my twin sister (boy/girl) were fraternal or identical.
My parents walked out after he said that.
