Me a year ago: Dating a guy who was graduating that year, not very confident, relatively sheltered, in relationships that I now see as toxic.

Me now: Dating my best friend (idk how on earth I pulled that off, she's WAY out of my league), still not super confident, pessimistic about what's happening in my state/country, cut those people out of my life and made a new friend group.
