We all love our furry friends, and an important part of having one is naming them!

My daughter had a cat she named Binx, after the cat in Hocus Pocus. He later became mine. He was a huge cat, the size of a spaniel. Her other cat I inherited was Mrs. Norris, from Harry Potter. Nicknamed Norri.
I used to keep beta fish, they pretty much were all named Zoid. Star Trek fans will get that one :)

I give my pets Greek & Roman names because I aspire to have ownership of a Pharoah or Queen.
Originally, thought to use names of famous Thanes, but can not stand all the Mac & Haggis.

Mando from the Mandalorian. It also means deserving of love. It fits him well since he was a stray.

Our first dog was named Sam, because he told me that was his name. Buck was a Brittany, he had golden red hair, thus I named him "The Duke of Buckingham" because of the color of his coat and we called him Buck. Lady was given to us and we called her The Lady of Buckingham, and her daily name was Lady. JD was one of their pups, he was going to live with Jerry and Donnie, hence the nickname JD. Bismarck because he told me that was his name. All the pups we have adopted, tell me their names. "Halo" told me her name was Duchess. Tank told me his name was Mr. Darcy, which is what we call him. Dogs will tell you their names if you listen.

Our cats were called Lord Albus Revan Kenobi Nicodemus III, or Alby as we called her and Bjorn Ironpaw or B for short. Our current furball is Cassian O’Wild but we call her Spidey, when we first got her she was a really skinny little back kitten who was all long legs and super long tail reminding us of a spider monkey.

Named our husky Kira but doggie talk to her by calling her pupito because I thought it meant puppy. On her 10th birthday figured it out that means Daddy. Been calling my female husky daddy for 10years. 😂🐺

I'd wanted to name our dog, Ben, Prozac but my husband knew what that was. When we got our second dog I named him Paxil. Now I can hang my head out the door and yell, "Paxil, Paxil, come!" It makes me smile.

Named my turtle Eric Gilad Pellaeon, short-called him Gilad. Eric after my then just-born nephew, and Gilad Pellaeon after the great and late imperial Grand Admiral from Star Wars.

I named my recuse dog Lunchbox after watching a YouTube video of someone pretending to be a clown named Lil Lunchbox. It started as a joke but then I really liked the sound of it

I was going to name my all black cat, Slick, because they are so shiny. Well, he was having none of that. His name is Ninja because of the way he came out of his carrier when I got him home. Very laid back in the shelter. Well, it was all a ruse, when I opened the door he slammed out of there like a bomb, bounced off the chair, the dog and ran down the hallway bouncing off the walls! I'm sure you've seen cats do that, hit the wall and bounce off with all four feet. So he could only be called Ninja. He's crazy cat for sure.

I named my dog, Lizzy. She's a corgi and I'm obsessed with all things British (I used to live in London for a short time), so I named her after Queen Elizabeth II who is famous for her love of corgis (she had around 30 corgis overall).
