Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Use flour and water to create a "glue". Duct tape the cupboard closed from all side but the top.
Wedge the top open and spray "glue" all over dishes. Let dry. Remove tape and open cupboard slowly. The dishes should be glued together and easily caught while falling.
Clean with water.

If the hinges are on the outside, and if there is space at the top, unscrew the hinges while someone else holds the glass in place. Then slowly, carefully slide it up until you can get your hands in there to balance the dishes. Have someone else film it, obviously.

get a thin plyboard with almost the size of the cupboard door. open the cupboard door slightly and insert the plyboard slowly to keep the dishes from falling whe you fully open the cupboard door. better doing it with a help.

Call the hubby. If he breaks any plates - it's his fault!

Open the door slightly, slip your hand in with a small towel and push all the plates back on the shelf.

Grab a shotgun... tell your son to carefully extend his left arm... when ready, aim the gun at the falling bowls... tell your son to open the door by yelling "PULL!!!!!!"... fire the gun and hit the bowls...

Hold that door shut and open the other. Build a lego shelf, long and wide enough to go from the shelf to the bottom of the bowl. SLOWLY, bowl by bowl, take them out from the other door. BOOM fixed.

It looks like a sliding door! Very Gently slide open inch by inch until an arm can fit in throug the gap and carefully move the plates. 😉

Open and close the door really fast repeatedly as the plates fall they will continuously be stopes and won't gain enough momentum to break when they hit the floor.
