Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.

Make a floor of bodies infront of the door. When you open the door, the plates will fall on the much softer surface of bodies, rather the hard wooden floor, making breakage less likely.

Open it slightly, stuff the bottom with t-shirts. Slowly open it. Catch if you can. The toughness of porcelain is not that bad..

... believe it or not, but there are certain physical aptitudes which the midgets possess that can be of service in this situation ... try looking them up in the local yellow pages under "midget plate catching" ... hopefully, they can help you out...

Take the hinges off the door of the cupboard next to it and reverse open door toward you. Reach in and grab dishes until you can take door off.

Don't worry, I got you cupboard!! Don't break the glass to the right,, break the glass below that way you can place a pillow (cover pillow with plastic bag to keep small glass pieces off the fabric) underneath in case the plates do fall. Watch this video and try this trick to break the glass. Good luck!

Open the cabinet just enough to push a piece of poster board up through the opening. Open the door slowly making sure the poster board keeps the bowls in place. Then bend the poster board down enough to remove the bowls without them falling.

That's a sliding door, very tricky. And looks like one solid piece of glass. I'd try to hit the glass in the corner with a hammer causing the whole thing to Crack but not fall. With a few gloved hands ready to hold the plates up. And remove pieces of glass from the right until you can reach in and get the plates.
