Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Open the door just enough to insert a piece of sturdy plastic (like plexiglass) to hold the dishes in place while you open the door completely. Slide the plexiglass down, (but still hold the dishes in,) and have someone else pick them out of the gap.

The fundraiser's solution: Host a party. Auction off the right to open the door to the highest bidder. Sell the resulting shards as souvenirs. Use the proceeds to buy new plates.

Take the door off its hinges and let the plates slide down the door . You will be able to catch the plates near the top .if someone is above the door you can work in tandem

Fill a basket with towels and blankets and soft stuff. Hold it up just underneath the bottom edge of the cabinet. Open cabinet slowly and carefully and hope the bowls fall gently into the basket.

1. Think of Syria and Gaza.
2. Open the cupboard door.
3. Thank God cos only the porcelain broke. You still have a house to live, food to eat, loved ones around you.

Open cupboard door just enough to slip a long, thin piece of wood (think yard stick, or something of the like, possibly better with two connected to created a wider plane.) Insert wood from bottom of cupboard since side doesn't appear to be an option. Apply pressure to wood while simultaneously opening cupboard door. A spotter would be a good idea.

First, do a full backup on your computer. Then try to open the door as quickly as you can to grab em. Depending on how you drop, you can either do a full restore or a partial restore.

Buy an old PC with Windows 95 installed. Open Solitaire. Click Help / About. Look for the name of the developer. Call him and ask him to share the code so when the plates touch the ground they bounce repeatedly.
