Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Move it forward then tilt it back while someone opens it and takes plates out

Get a professional carpenter to cut the glass that's holding the dishes in place, then firmly hold the glass steady, still in place while he removes the door from the hinges itself. Afterwards very carefully, while still holding the piece of glass, slowly lowering the door, reach behind it and remove the dishes! Good luck with it!!

Open the cupboard to the left, drill a couple of holes through and use long bamboo skewers to support the dishes while you slowly ease the door open and reach around.

I would open the door wide enough to squeeze a very small midget in there and have them straighten the dishes up.

Hire a professional juggler, plate spinner and seal. Get a bucket of popcorn and watch the performance.

Cut a hole in the glass, in the middle of the first bowl, just big enough to fit your hand/arm through. Push the stack of bowls back and open the door.

Lay a thick layer of mattress on the floor then open it. If some of it chips/cracks/breaks, at least most of them are still doing good.

Put a mattress or a bunch of pillows right under where the plates are going to fall. Voila

1. Get a blow up item
2. Open door enough to feed blow up item into bottom level of cupboard, while leaving the tube out of the cracked door.
3. Blow up the item, creating a soft surface
4. Carefully open door and let plates fall slowly onto soft surface (you may still want to try to catch them as they fall best you can.
I think this can actually work if you try it.

Use a technique police and thieves use on car doors to open the lock. "Slide a piece of FLOSS or very thin string between the door and cabinet several times slowly slide this web of string across the cabinet to the dishes forming a safety net secure with tape and then slowly open the door a bit and put a piece of foam directly under the dish avalanche and open slowly...Good Luck..
