Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Open the cupboard, and watch the chaos ensue. Then, develop an OCD(or play tetris) and learn how to stack efficiently without risk if breakages.

Is the cupboard on the International Space Station, by chance? If so, you should be able to open without issue. I hope that helps.

Just let them smash as everything on Earth is destined to destruction. Sit in the middle of mess and meditate. Namaste.

Open the door a little bit, insert a thin flat piece of iron or a spatula to hold the dishes.

Throw a dish party. While everyone is asking to eat, tell em you forgot to get out the plates and ask someone (the one you like the least) to get them. Its their problem now on how to do it :D. Mission accomplished

With 24 hours in a day, one must simply wait 12 hours until such time that your house will be kinda sorta upside downish. Then due to the earth's gravitational forces, the items of concern will naturally return to their original state, nestled neatly together, as they will have reversed the trajectory that has resulted in this conundrum.

Smash the top left glass, remove the shelf above those plates, then stand on the counter and reach your arm through and lift each plate out one by one from above.

You know what to do: Break glass in case of emergency. But to break display glass or just break the damn bowls, that is the question.

Tilt the house over so the plates can fall into place. Then you can open the cupboard without having them all fall out.

pretend you didn't notice and leave it for the next guy to figure out. then they will do the same. it will be a like neverending loop. contemplate how much you really need that bowl or soup at the moment. hint: its not worth it. or hang a large painting over the cupboard. out of sight out of mind.

Cut the glass from the right windows, very sloooooow....any move could crash tehm , and then pick some plates with the hands :) . The glass is more cheap to replace it ;) also , the wounds because of the glass :))
Just SAVE the dishes! :)))
Or,you could cut the bottom glass and then catch the dishes :)))
