Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.

Apparently, it's a "slidable" door. Physics are on your side. Just slide it very slowly until you can put your hand and hold the plates.

Hoist the cupboard by helicopter to approximately 1000 meters in height. Then let it drop. As you free fall with the cupboard you should have just enough time to open the door and safely gather all the plates before it hits the ground.

Drill a small hole in the glass (close to the middle of the plate which we can see completely), put a metal or hard stick and push them all back gently. Stick will prevent them falling down.

Slowly lower the cupboard into a lake in a northern latitude. Wait for winter. Once the cupbard is entirely contained in solid ice, you may use a chainsaw to cut and remove it as a solid block. Chisel away excess ice, and thaw with blow torch to allow removal of intact plates. Dry with towel.

Put ear plugs in and blindfold yourself. Stand in front of cupboard. Open cupboard. Take off blinfd no ear plugs. Clean up smashed plates.

Three ideas: crack the door open just enough to get your hand on the plate closest to the glass. Hold it in place while you open the door or have someone hold a large towel directly under the door and as you open it have them move the towel up so that it catches the dishes. Just make sure the towel isn't stretched taut. Or if there are two doors to that but cupboard and you can, open the other door and reach across to move the dishes.
