Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

break the glass panel above the glass cupboard door and remove the items. Or, don't open until you house contents are insured.

Get a paypal account. Put the pic on a website where you can charge a small fee for an answer. The expected revenue is the real answer.

If it is a lose cabinet, move it away from the wall and slowly, gentle tip it backwards, the dishes will slide to the back then you can oepn the door

Pull the cupboard forward... slowly tilt it back... once it's tilted backwards the plates won't fall out

Open it from the back by unscrewing any screws or taking out the nails in the back board--just make sure you have those front doors sealed (maybe with duct tape?) before trying to move the shelf away from the wall. That would really blow if you were moving it and the doors swung open.

Well look at it this way what's more expensive the glass of the cupboard or the China inside. If it's the China use a demand and make constant deep circular cuts into the glass then lightly hit the glass with something small, but hard until the glass breaks. The glass should break in the circular area that you broke leaving a hole to reach in then repair the glass at a later date.

Engage in a dialogue with the plates. Understand their essence. Commune with the Platonic Form of plates, that which all physical plates imperfectly mimic. Realize that the world of the sensate is finite. Transcend mortality. Destroy concepts. Recollect it all. Create metaphysics.

Have a cheap fake wedding (or vowel renewal) and register for new ones. OR gain super powers, create an earthquake that's isolated to only your house and submit an insurance claim.
