Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.

Borrow 007's round hole glass cutter and cut a hole in the middle of the plate against the glass. Then use a dowel rod to start spinning the plate. With some patience you should be able to get all the plates spinning and then open the cabinet. Problem solved :) now for some dumplings...

Have two other people stand by with a blanket expanded under the expected landing area, and then open the cupboard for them to fall into that like a trampoline rathet than the floor

Get Stephen Hawking to build you a Tardis. Go back in time to before the plate fiasco happened and do a better job of stacking them. If the plates are valuable than secure the door and push the cupboard from the wall, open the back.
Find a way to lift up the cabinet and place a big box with cotton wool under the door and open while trowing more cotton in. Have a nice lunch.
If not valuable, a big blanket to protect the floor, stand behind the door while opening.
Clean up and go shopping and have a nice lunch👍🏻

Place a giant hard mattress in the floor in front of the shelf and then open the doors slightly. The plates won't break if you're lucky and if your mattress is wide enough.
