Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Hire a ninja. With their incredible speed and agility, they can open the cupboard and quickly halt the bowls from falling out. Even if the bowls do fall out, with their amazing speed they can catch each bowl as it falls out, while stacking them up.

Lay the cupboard on its side (if it's not outrageously heavy). They'll all fall to one side and probably stay intact. You can get them out and set everything back upright.

Just put a thick matress below and open the cupboard

break a window at the the top of the closet. And save them one by one.. It'll cost you less then the broken plates.

Find a big tub. Fill with water. And hopefully all fall into the water in order not to break anything

find a small mattress, place it directly below the cupboard.
Get an extra hand to help.
Open slightly, just enough for one hand to slip in, and hold the outermost bowl. Upon contact with the outermost bowl, apply inward pressure and hold.
Open the cupboard door the rest of the way and reposition your bowls.

Wait for the next earthquake. If you are lucky, it will be re-arranged. If not, the insurance will pay for it. Win-win...

You can't save it, only make the most of it: get your kids to marry a Greek and have the celebration at your house.

Pile up your pillows and doonas and then open the door.

Not that difficult. Gently slide the door to the right about 4-5 inches without disturbing the plates. Reach in with one hand and hold plates all while maneuvering the door and repositioning plates to a stable position on shelf.

Ask a carpenter to remove the rails from under the sliding door of the cupboard. Get a second carpenter to stand in front of the cupboard with a mattress. Both carpenters should be very athletic and without shirts. Mom and carpenter one should open the door very quickly and carpenter two should throw the matress under the plates. If this fails the two carpenters should use mom and the matress to make up for the loss.

You know how rescurers always lay a huge air bed when someone threaten to jump off a building? Lay something soft or foamy below (like a huge sponge)so as to minimise the impact when you open the cupboard... plates might still be alive ^^
