Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

have someone take the adjacent door glass out (break & replace it if necessary) and then reach in and correct the dishes before opening the door

Hold your hand against the glass. Some time in the next few billion years all the atoms in your hand and in the glass will perfectly align and your hand will pass right through the glass.

Depends how the doors are mounted. If external, unscrew the hinges while applying pressure to door... now keep pressure only on bottom, lightly separate the top, reach in one by one and pull them to safety.

I'd think she should pull the cupboard back from the wall, then slowly pry the back off the cupboard. Likely has very small nails at the back and it won't be hard to reattach the back with little damage.

Open the door slowly, make no noise, then fetch the kid and run back to the opened door. Oh wait I thought we're talking about Harembe.

Open the door just enough where you can slide our hand in to support the bowls, then gently slide it and push the bowls back up into an upright position and pray that none break. Maybe just a couple, but it's better than all of them.

I love coming here to read the comments. Some people (like myself at times) are obsessed with reading comments. For example, we find you reading this comment right now, which does not contain any useful information, only curiosity, that drives you to waste your time. Have a good night.

Can't see the whole cabinet. So here goes... open door slightly try to get towels in the cabinet, keeping opening it slightly and adding more towels. Have help while opening and inserting towels. Stabilize the first three or four bowls and then you're good! If that doesn't work my daughter has a wizard's sword that she has and could cast a spell to help! Abracadabra
