Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Remove the cupboard door from the hinge while someone else holds it in place against the plates. Slide the door right and/or up until you have room to put you hand in and grab it.

Rent your house out and let the tenant take the blame when they try to open the cabinet and break the plates

I'd say break the glass surrounding it and carefully remove the plates. the glass can easily and cheaply be replaced and it would save them from smashing to the ground as soon as you open it.

Get a inflatable swim mattress. Open the door a crack, just wide enough to push one end of mattress in. Slowly inflate mattress while someone presses door to keep it from opening to soon. As the mattress inflates, it will catch the plates.

Floss duct tape behind the door to run the height of the cabinet from top to bottom. repeat until you've created prison bars for the dishes. Tape will hold the dishes in when you open the cabinet and get your hand in there.

Get a diamond tipped cutter, cut a hole big enough to fit someone's hand directly under the plate lapping on the glass, then open a big hole the top section of the glass, let someone teach in through the small hole under to hold firm the one lowest then from the big opening on top reach in and pick the rest out one at a time... DONE 🍻

Would need to see larger pic showing whole door
But
If possible by moving doors or by the way they are built
You can slide a piece of cardboard in there slid between window and bowls
Keep pressure as you slide door open
But should be able to save all if done correctly

carpenters solution:
open the other side of the cupboard, or the cupboard next to this one, cut a small hole in the wood dividing board, put your hand through the hole, push the bowls or plates or w.e back into place.
