Yeah, working at Walmart would obviously be the creepy part.

I had a friend who experienced this. Her brother cut ties with her and didn't talk to her for 10 years, even pretending she didn't exist and ignoring her completely in family gatherings. She didn't know why but respected his decision, attributing it to a bad personal decision she made back then. Recently he reached out to her. He was in therapy and his therapist recommended to heal old wounds. So he finally told her why he cut ties: he had been in a horrible legal battle (almost sent to prison) with my friend's exbf without her knowledge and all this time the ex made her brother believe it was all her doing. And her brother believed the ex (?) and never questioned his own sister in 10 years! Also, he never told the family of the issue due to shame. Absolutely crazy.

Big anime fan here. I agree with that most animes portrait girls and women in very (japanese) cliché ways that are unrealistic and exaggerated (sometimes grotesque). But! Some animes do portrait amazing girls and women. The two I can think of now are: full metal alchemist (I loved the women characters! They were all fantastic. Super strong, wise, smart and independent. Some serious, some bubbly), and Attack on Titan.

I saw Avatar (Swedish avant garde metal band) for the first time in Rock and Ring in 2018 when they were not so famous, and I was mind blown. Loved their vibe, their music, just awesome. Then, I saw them again in 2022 in Hellfest and OMFG, their sound was awful, totally unbalanced. I was so disappointed. No idea what happened.

I'm not sure I could live anywhere something like that was possible. It must be terrifying.

I think if they sequenced Keith Richards's DNA, they'd discover he's half human and half rock. As in geology. Flesh and blood simply cannot take that sort of battering. 😉

Isn't taxidermy wonderful! ;-)

Totally unexpected but so wholesome!
