And their survival, in this particular case!
This is like saying people don't d*e from COVID, they d*e from lungs giving out.

Health Savings Account. If you live in a civilised country, you don't need one.

I did admittedly have a good chortle at the "tape a wasp to your hand and slap your boss" one, though.

For security reasons, you can't get far in. At the airport near me, departures, you can get to the front ticket counter. You need a ticket to get through security to get to the gates/waiting areas/restaurants/shops. On the arrivals level, I think you can get as far as the baggage claim area, but I'm not sure. It might be closer to the exit that you are stopped and need to wait for whoever you are picking up from the airport.

And if it looks/smells fine, but your sniffer is erratic like mine is, small taste, just to be sure it's good. Spoiled milk is one of the few items I'll use taste when my other senses fail me.

'Times.' It may not specifically say it, but it's for better or for worse TIMES. Not BEHAVIOUR.

My only "to be fair..." caveat to this is that, depending on when OP married him, "Republican" used to mean something different. They weren't nearly as awful in the 80s/90s when I was growing up. My parents were both Republicans and my dad was actually a good person and VERY liberal despite being registered as a Republican. My dad would be rolling over in his urn if he saw the kind of abhorrently terrible right-wing Trump-cultist "Republicans" my mother and sister are now. And I'm a registered Democrat XD (they both hate me for that)

Back in the day kids would ride on the back of pick up trucks. No booster seats, no seat belts. Babies were given opiate soothing syrups. Pregnant moms would drink and smoke. Gave babies/toddlers whole grapes, cut up hot dogs and other choking hazards as early real food choices. And so much more. Just because it was considered acceptable back then does not make it fine or acceptable today. Any reasonable grandparent understands that some of what they did, while fine back then, was not actually fine or good, just as some of what parents do today will be known as unacceptable risk in 20 years.

It isn't a male doctor problem, it's a particular style of bad doctor problem. My first gyno was female and was insistent that my period cramps were normal, in my head and that I was lying about how bad they were because cramps are "normal" and aleve works for every woman. I was diagnosed with endometriosis by a male doctor. Just as doctors should never dismiss complaints due to tge patient being a woman, we shouldn't judge a doctor merely for being a man. It's fine to want a female doctor if you are more comfortable with a female versus male for exams. (Edit: spelling, aleve the anti-inflammatory, not autocorrected alive)

And if she is not vomiting and doesn't have nausea issues?

This is smoked, so it's inherently not fresh - the original goal of smoking was to preserve it for an extended period
I met some really good and kind male doctors, as well as many idiotic and sexist female doctors. I think both man AND women can have prejudices against women. It was a female pediatrician who said to my then 15yrs old daughter with severe case of period cramps - it will get better after your first intercourse. W*F how is that appropriate or helpful? Of course I changed pediatrician!!! Also, I concluded that brushing off patient`s complaint as trivial, without valid reason, usually serves to hide the doctor`s incompetency and ignorance (as in: I don`t know what`s wrong with you, so there must be nothing). So, when I meet that attitude, it is usually a pretty good sign that I must look for a more competent doctor.

I heard that same phrase growing up in the 80s! But it's also strange - even if one was not told literally "wash behind your ears", does one not generally scrub that area during the process of washing one's hair? When I scrub down my scalp, my thumbs naturally slide along my skull until they're behind my ears.

Even if made from Corian/stone/steel/whatever, it'd be a nightmare to keep clean.

I can smell the rubber/plastic coating burning. Does spam really need more carcinogens? (As someone who does eat the occasional can of spam)

That's tough. I truly believe everyone should learn how to follow simple recipes. Learn what the common kitchen lingo means. But I understand that can be difficult in some circumstances, and those who don't learn as children may not have the option to prioritize learning as adults, so be unable to teach their own children.

For not knowing how to cook, I blame the teen mom's parents. I could cook dinner for the family by time I was 12. Same for my older brother. A teen mom has so much on her plate that I understand why learning to cook would not be a priority as long as the family is fed

Grandma couldn't cook either. Grandpa could really only make two things.

It's also not too hard to move a light switch.

I hope the plants are set in gravel so you don't have mud splash or flooding. I would hate taking cooler showers to avoid harming the plants and bugs. And earwigs love humidity and decomposition! Ew! No thanks!
