Spencer's slave no longer, you have this round the wrong way. The ratio is 1to 3, dried to fresh. If you need 1 tsp of dried herbs, then replace it with 3 tsp of fresh. If you only use a small amount of fresh herbs you will not be able to taste it. Also, fresh herbs tend to be added at the last minute, whereas dried need to be added during cooking to allow the dried herbs to rehydrate and impart their flavour.
