Denial is one of the symptoms of EDs to be fair, but also all the people who keep insisting and telling her and everyone she does clearly don't know anything about how to actually help. The #1 rule to interact with people with eating disorders is NOT to comment on their appearance

Well, her life is over.
Find another job before you quit, unless it's really tearing you apart.

did you ask them to move their purse before touching it? i would be upset at someone moving my purse because that's my phone and money and id and house keys and everything

it depends on where you live. I don't know anyone who doesn't wear shoes at home. My house has tiled floor all over so bare foot is cold, socks are slippery and i find slippers annoying, so shoes it is.

The way it's written by G A doesn't really make the joke clear, the way you write it does.
Children shouldn't have to parent their siblings. And said siblings don't even complain over the lunches, so there isn't any problems to begin with ! I don't know on what weird power-trip OP's mom is, but that's got to stop.

it's the case in most public bathrooms though, not just in schools?

maybe it's a cultural because we don't really have names for cents in france but i don't see how not knowing what a 25cents penny is that bad? i mean as long as they know this one is worth 25cents the name doesn't really matter much, they can just say '25 cents' can't they?
