I am excited to announce that I have officially launched my newest collection Pizza Art!
I was inspired to create a fun-loving collection that blended my two life paths. The culinary world meets the art world, and what's more universal than everyone's love for pizza!
I've always been an artist at heart, even when it came to my many years in the kitchen. I made sure my food not only tasted delicious but looked like a work of art delicately positioned on white ceramic plates.
This time around I decided to reverse things and bring my love for food into my art studio by using pizza as my abstract inspiration.
What's unique about this collection is that it proves The Contrast Effect Theory. When a color is placed on a dark background versus a lighter background, the colors appear to change hue. I have chosen to use the same acrylic paints on all three works pictured below but changed the base colors to red, black, white, and aqua. This simple change in base color allows the other colors to enter our eyes in a different way. Making each piece beautifully unique.
My goal with this collection is to catch the eye of the quirky art and foodie lover in all of us!
