Photographer and digital artist Giusiana Maddaluno lives in Naples, Italy. She created pictures for the purpose of denouncing the violence against women, bringing to light the aspects of psychological violence.
1# "Her soul dissolves and her dignity was slowly lost.
And she was there! Clinging to the memory of a man who gave her, swearing eternal love, a symbol as promised: a red rose."
2# " There was a strangled, arrested scream, impossible to be listened. A voiceless scream, resonating as an heartbreak. It was the scream of that woman, who was longing with all the people for the same thing: Freedom!"
3# "She was sitting there, still, harmless. Her body and her will were imprisoned in the hands of a man. Yes, a man whose fingers were raising so high, so strong, he could shape barriers. A cell in which she felt paradoxically protected from the fear frightening her moment after moment. That was for her a human cell."
4# "A violence. A kidnapping. A woman. Her soul belonged no longer to her. Her thoughts were bouncing on the walls of suffering: 'Once I got kidnapped of his beauty' she said, 'naive, but in love. Now I'm forced to get forcedly kidnapped'."
5# "The woman as the concept of a puppet: with such a beauty she was expressing her pain, an almost indifferent suffering. She was there, standing still."
A special thanks to my model: Giovanna Marrali!
