It hurts knowing you tried doing your best and it still wasn't good enough. Sometimes your plans don't work because God has better plans for your life. No matter how much you wanted things to work out and be his everything he always found something about you that he complained about. He was so busy pointing out your flaws that he missed the beauty in you, and everything that made you unique. You have spent so much time wondering why it didn't work and what is wrong with you and you have no answers because there is nothing wrong with you.
The man you were dealing with wasn't man enough to love the good woman in you. He felt the need to put you down in order to feel better about himself. He lacked the ability to receive the love you had to offer and because of this he was never good enough for you to begin with. You needed someone who would accept your weaknesses as well as your strengths equally. Instead he tore you down and made you feel like you weren't good enough to love. Made you feel like you were asking for too much when you were simply asking for the same effort and love you were willing to give.
He refused to grow up and love you the right way. Your love was never meant to be given away to a man too weak to love a strong woman like yourself. Understand that despite your flaws you are worth exceptional love, you deserve a man willing to fight for you. A man who is willing to prove to you that his love for you is unconditional.
Until that man arrives, enjoy your space, keep evolving, enjoy life and the beauty in it. When you least expect it the man that is meant to be in your life will be there. Don't settle for anything less than the love you deserve.
