My daughter bought this kermit at a thrift store for $3, and created the Instagram account @YegKermit. Her vision was to take him around and make photos of Kermit at different Edmonton landmarks. (YEG being the airport code for Edmonton)
She never did, however, because this kermit was laying around, I started taking funny pics of him around the house. By the time I had talked about 40 photos, I asked her to just give me the account and I’d post pics. She refused, as it “wasn’t her vision” So I started @yegkermit2 so I could post them, eventually after I hit about 100 followers or so she said I could have the @yegkermit handle, and I’ve been posting at least 1 pic a day for close to 2 years. It’s literally the most consistent thing I’ve ever done. Sometimes there’s a mini story that spans a few days, like when Kermit was making cookies in the mixer, or fixing the pinball, and sometimes they are just one offs.
I’d like to do a Yegkermit calendar one year with his best pics of the seasons. Who knows?
