The two guys from Düsseldorf and Dresden tell the story behind World Walkerz in short on their website. They say they met in Miami, USA, in 2012, where they worked together as chefs: “From there on we became good friends and decided to see more from this awesome world.”

So their journey began in the USA, then continued in Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. Meanwhile, they have explored almost all of Asia, including North Korea. But the idea to create World Walkers was born during one of their earliest trips to Jakarta, Indonesia. We agree, it’s pretty selfish to enjoy all these beautiful and diverse places on their own, so sharing it with the online community that perhaps don’t even get a chance to travel is a fantastic idea.

We asked about the equipment they use to capture aerial shots.

"We use a Sony Alpha camera and a DJI drone. With drone pictures, we can show a completely different perspective of those places and show the overview which you can't see from the ground. Many places and buildings are designed for an overview which you can only see from above."
