Kate started her Instagram account in June 2019 and now it boasts over 214k followers. The fashion expert said that she still can’t believe she has so many fans.
Kate told us that she has a pretty big closet: "A huge one I customized to my needs from Ikea, the PAX wardrobes. I have a lot of clothes so I don’t necessarily need new pieces to make character-inspired outfits. When I need a certain specific piece for a look I usually pick something from Dollskill or one of the brands that sponsors me. I don’t spend money on clothes anymore. I get them all through collabs."
We wanted to find out if the fashionista had any advice for women on how to dress this summer. "Well, let’s hope the quarantine will be over by summer. My advice? Dress however you’d like, not how others tell you to dress. In this world, being unique is admirable and there are always gonna be people who like your style and relate with it. Fashion and dressing up is a kind of art. Hence, all artists have a different style."
“I’m just a fashion blogger who posts her daily outfits and also recreates inspired looks from TV shows and movies,” Kate told Bored Panda. She clarified that she picks out the outfits, but doesn’t actually make any of the clothes herself.
“I really love TV shows and movies, so I started recreating looks from those I used to watch as a kid like Sailor Moon, Winx and it just went viral,” the fashionista explained what inspired her to start posting her pop culture outfits.
“Friends is an iconic show, so I also had to recreate outfits from them,” she added.
Speaking of the TV show Friends which Kate loves (and so do we), the HBO Max reunion special that was planned has been delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Filming was supposed to start in late March, but everything has been pushed back. Filming should start in May (at the earliest), so we’ve all got our fingers crossed!
Besides having her personal Instagram account dedicated to showing off her fashion skills, Kate is also the sales manager of two other clothing accounts—Retropiece and Grungepiece. So it’s no stretch to say that Kate’s a real professional and knows the clothing industry inside out.
