I'm the person who starts diets on Monday, and sets resolutions on New Years eve. So for me to spontaneously jump ship was so brand new last year, that it transferred into this year, and helped me shape my whole identity as an artist.
Let me tell you, Inktober was the best decision I made. It improved my sketching powers, helped me de-stress, and made me realize a simple truth: the moment is never right unless we take it and make it so.
There'll never be enough time, it'll never be the right time. So just do it anyway!
Inktober starts on October 1st every year. It has official prompts, lots of unofficial ones, variations, deviations, and a freedom to make your own. The only rule is: ink it. Take a ball pen, or a fountain pen, or a brush and ink, as I do. And profit!
I worked with official prompts both years that I've attended. And both times I drawn and painted pandas. Because pandas are the best, they make me feel happy, and they sleep where they stand. So they're the best.
