Six tiny puppies in Finland have become international television stars, and their biggest talent is sleeping! Millions of people around the world are tuning in to watch these adorable little dogs nap, eat, and grow up together. There's no drama, no competition, and no complicated storyline. The puppies are part of Pentulive, a Finnish television program that livestreams their everyday lives 24 hours a day. At just over two weeks old, these little Lagotto Romagnolos are already capturing hearts with their sleepy puppy piles, tiny movements, and first wobbly steps.
Their mother, Hilkka, is also part of the broadcast as she cares for her growing babies. And the fascination doesn't stop in Finland! The program has attracted attention internationally, with Sweden broadcasting the show and producers in the Netherlands planning their own version.
Experts say this kind of relaxing television can offer a welcome break from stressful news and endless scrolling. Sometimes, watching six puppies do absolutely nothing is exactly what people need.

With his tiny red hat, blue coat, and little yellow rain boots, Bertram the Pomeranian looked just like Paddington Bear. His adorable Halloween costume made him an internet sensation in 2018, winning hearts around the world.
But Bertie, as his loved ones called him, had an equally heartwarming story behind his fame. He was abandoned by an Oklahoma breeder who considered him too big to sell. Thankfully, New York art gallery owner Kathy Grayson spotted him on Petfinder and adopted him in 2013.
Bertie soon became a beloved presence at The Hole art gallery in New York City, where he greeted visitors and brought smiles to everyone he met.
Sadly, Bertram passed away peacefully in his sleep in November 2024. But the little dog who once struggled to find a home left behind a lasting legacy of love and happiness.
After his passing, his famous Paddington-inspired look even inspired a plush toy, with proceeds supporting homeless shelter dogs and children's hospitals. From an overlooked shelter pup to an internet favorite, Bertie's story reminds us how one adoption can change a life forever.

When a family brought home a tiny Dachshund puppy named Plum, they were a little nervous about introducing her to their much bigger Pit Bull, Rhubarb. They worried that their large dog might accidentally hurt the little newcomer during playtime. But it didn't take long for them to realize they had been watching the wrong dog! Instead of being the rambunctious one,
Rhubarb turned out to be the calm and patient big sister. Meanwhile, tiny Plum seemed determined to make her presence known. Despite her small size, the energetic puppy had no problem showing off her bold personality around her much larger sibling. Their family began sharing the sisters' funny interactions online, revealing an adorable role reversal that wasn't quite what anyone expected. Rhubarb's expressive reactions to Plum's antics make their relationship even more entertaining.
Sometimes the smallest member of the family has the biggest personality, and these two sisters are a perfect example!

The animal welfare community is mourning Jesse Adams, a Canadian rescuer and co-founder of RainCoast Dog Rescue Society, who died on October 25, 2026, while helping evacuate animals from a frontline area in eastern Ukraine.
A military veteran, Adams dedicated years to rescuing abandoned, neglected, and abused animals. His compassion took him far beyond Canada, including to Afghanistan and Ukraine, where he risked his life to save animals caught in conflict zones.
Working alongside local rescue groups, including Animal Rescue Kharkiv, Adams helped evacuate an estimated 1,000 animals from dangerous areas. He believed animals should not have to suffer because of a war they could never understand.
Tragically, during a rescue mission in Kramatorsk, a drone struck the vehicle carrying the rescue team and animals. Adams suffered critical injuries and later died despite emergency medical efforts.
His death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from fellow rescuers and animal welfare organizations. His colleagues remember him as someone who repeatedly put himself in danger to protect those who could not protect themselves.
Though his loss leaves a heartbreaking void, the animals he helped save are part of his lasting legacy. Jesse Adams dedicated his life to the voiceless, and his compassion will continue to inspire others to carry on his mission.

A little Brussels Griffon named Paddington had been through a difficult past, and finding the right family meant everything. After being rescued from a backyard breeding situation, he arrived at a Georgia shelter where caregivers hoped someone would understand his needs and give him the patience he deserved.
Then a family from Tennessee heard about him. They already knew the breed, had experience fostering dogs, and were willing to drive three and a half hours to meet him. Their visit went so well that Paddington soon had a new home and a new name, Benny. But his first day held another sweet surprise. His new dog brother, Earl, became an unexpected guide.
When Benny seemed unsure about eating or drinking, he watched Earl first and followed his example. Soon, his family began discovering Benny's hilarious little habits, including bouncing like Tigger and walking on his hind legs like a meerkat.
For a family still missing their beloved dog Otis, Benny was bringing something special back into their home.

When a family in Texas moved away, they left behind a heartbreaking sight: a pile of unwanted belongings and trash, along with their one-year-old dog, Treasure.
Neighbors noticed the tiny, fluffy pup pacing beside the discarded items. She refused to leave, seemingly waiting for the family she loved to return.
Thankfully, concerned neighbors contacted Tzu Zoo Rescue, who stepped in to save her. Treasure was suffering from severe flea dermatitis, leaving her skin painfully irritated and her beautiful coat patchy with fur loss.
In foster care, everything began to change. With medical treatment, patience, and plenty of love, her skin healed and her fluffy coat started growing back. Though she initially struggled with anxiety and being alone, she gradually learned to trust again.
After her remarkable recovery, Treasure was ready for the next chapter of her life. The sweet pup eventually found a permanent home where she could finally experience the security, affection, and happiness every dog deserves.
From being left behind beside a pile of trash to finding a family who truly wanted her, Treasure's journey is a beautiful reminder that even the most heartbreaking beginnings can lead to wonderful new chapters.

When 15-year-old Binky, lovingly known as Mr. B., slipped out the front door while his family was moving, they searched desperately for him. But despite their efforts, the medically fragile senior dog had vanished.
Three years later, a Good Samaritan found Binky wandering in Summerville, South Carolina, and brought him to Dorchester Paws. He was in rough shape, with severely matted fur covering his eyes, overgrown nails, and serious dental problems. Shelter staff immediately began treating him and scanned him for a microchip.
To everyone's amazement, the chip led them to the family who had never stopped hoping for his return.
Although they lived six hours away, one of Binky's caregivers personally drove him home.
Now 18 and mostly blind and deaf, Binky couldn't see or hear his loved ones clearly. But as they held him close, he caught their familiar scent and grew excited, showering them with kisses. After three long years, he was finally home. 🥹
Sadly, Binky's health declined soon after, and his family stayed by his side as he crossed the rainbow bridge. Though their reunion was brief, they were grateful he spent his final days surrounded by the people who loved him.
Binky's story reminds us of the importance of microchipping pets and never giving up hope. Sometimes, even after years apart, a lost dog can find his way home.

In 2024, staff at Harbor Humane Society in West Olive, Michigan, arrived one morning to find a small, frightened dog tied to the base of a sign warning people not to abandon animals there.
Surveillance footage showed that the dog had been left around 9:05 p.m. and spent nearly 11 hours alone overnight before staff discovered her the following morning.
At first, the little Chihuahua mix was scared and defensive. But a patient staff member sat down and gave her time to feel safe. Soon, the frightened pup approached and curled up in the employee’s lap.
The shelter named her Trixie. A veterinary evaluation found the 3-to-4-year-old dog to be in good physical condition, and staff quickly discovered her sweet, affectionate personality.
The incident also highlighted how outdated signage may have caused confusion. The sign Trixie was tied to mentioned a “fee for bringing an animal to HHS.” Executive Director Jen Self-Aulgur clarified that there is never a fee to surrender a stray animal. As an open-admission shelter, Harbor Humane Society accepts animals from its county regardless of their financial or medical circumstances.
The shelter believes fear of costs or judgment may discourage some people from asking for help. Rather than shame the person responsible, staff urged anyone struggling to care for a pet to reach out to a shelter instead of leaving an animal alone overnight.
Trixie was placed on a stray hold while the shelter worked through the next steps toward her future. Every pet deserves safety, kindness, and a chance at a better life. When keeping an animal is no longer possible, asking for help is always better than leaving them behind.

New York City just hosted one of its most adorable Halloween traditions, and the dogs absolutely stole the spotlight! More than 2,000 participants joined the 36th annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade, filling Manhattan's East Village with creative costumes, excited families, and plenty of four-legged stars.
Among the crowd were Onyx and Lila, dressed as Beauty and the Beast, while four Pomeranians proudly showed off their champion-inspired outfits. Another little dog appeared as Minnie Mouse because her family said she loved playing with Minnie Mouse toys. There were even costumes inspired by Michael Jackson, along with plenty of pumpkins and teddy bears. But the sweetest part wasn't just the costumes.
People who didn't even have dogs came out to watch, and longtime attendees celebrated another year of seeing their neighborhood come together. From first-time visitors to families who return every Halloween, the parade offered something special for everyone. And some of the costume choices were simply too cute to miss!
