What's a Cactus in Chinese? That thought went through my head a few weeks ago. And I when I looked it up in my dictionary, I was super happy to discover that the Chinese word for cactus 仙人掌 (Xiānrénzhǎng) literally translates into English as 'Palm of Celestial Being'. I think I can see it... 🌵🌵🌵.
It made me realise just how limited my flora vocabulary is. So I made the following images to help me learn some more about Chinese flowers as well as the Chinese words for some of my favourite plants.
