I go to school in the Howard County Public School System in Maryland. We're consistently ranked in the top 10 school systems in America, but there is a lot that isn't seen. Like my school, we're the most overcrowded in the county. Our school's capacity is somewhere around 1,300 students, while our current student population falls just short of 1,900. The county often tries to redistrict to alleviate the pressure, but often that means that the parents living in richer neighborhoods get scared that their McMansions are going to drop in value, and successfully threaten to sue whenever the country tries to redistrict.
Other than that, I'm glad I go to the school I go to. It's one of the most diverse in the county, people from all sorts of background, whether that's socioeconomic status, ethnic background, it's just so diverse. And I'm glad I'm not like the delusional rich kids going to the rich neighborhood schools, I'm not out of touch with reality and I'm able to see and feel the struggles that so many less fortunate people have to go through. It's opened my eyes to so much, and so for all that's wrong with my school, I think this is almost enough to redeem all of that.

My high school is nice, there’s no uniforms, but there’s a lot of jocks around the school and there’s a lot of bullies. It’s a large high school with a lot of students from different backgrounds, and there’s a group called the Gender Sexuality Alliance that meets every Tuesday at lunch.

Uh it’s fun I guess Bc there’s a lot of electives(is that the right word?) and the teachers are good but it’s a charter school so I’m not in high school but I go to school with high schoolers
