WHAT... Open cup WITHOUT silicone? And where are those cells came from? Well... I forgot, that I had silicone oil in my gold! Maybe it should be this way, because this painting dry so gorgeous and there is so many interesting cells, that I'm glad, that I am a little forgetful.
TECHNIQUE: Open cup, Spin art
COLOURS:
- Boesner titanium white
- Lefranc Bourgeois saphire blue
- Amsterdam permanent red violet
- Amsterdam permanent blue violet
- Vallejo gold
- Wndsor&Newton permanent magenta
- Liquitex bright aqua green
- Pearl white
My pearl white mixture:
1 part Vallejo pearl medium
1 part titanium white
2 parts pouring medium
MATERIAL I USED:
- 12x12 inch canvas
- Acrylic paints mixed with pouring medium and silicone oil
- Flower shaped desert cup
- Palete knife
- Cake spinner
- Torch
PROCESS:
- Pour a puddle of base colour in the middle of the canvas
- Place down flower shaped cup in the middle of this puddle
- Layering colours of your choice
- Lift up the cup
- Rework your center if needed
- Torch
- Spin
- And your stained glass looked flower is done!
All my paints are mixed with Boesner Guardi acrylic binder and acrylic emulsion. I added 1 drop of silicone oil for an oz of mixed paint.
