I made this woodcarving from a downed ash tree from the neighborhood. Its about 24" long and finished with tung oil and paste wax. The base is half-lap mahogany with a 1/2" brass pin for support. Took about 2 months working at night a weekends. Lots of fun and really came out great I think.
