We Started A Children's Footwear Line To Inspire Creativity And Reading In Children And To Bring More Awareness To A Variety Of Deserving Children's Books And Illustrators.

Ben, my business partner, came up with the initial idea of ARTWALKS and got in touch with me, a footwear designer, to work with him to make this line of shoes. Both of us as parents and designers, felt that there was not enough exposure to the numerous amounts of children's book that were wonderfully illustrated.

We decided to start off with a small line of baby shoes, working with three amazing children's book illustrators and launch an initial offering of designs on Kickstarter to make our goal a reality. It has been a very long year of working together with the artist and agents in China to sample our first set of baby shoes.

This is our humble beginning to develop a line of children's footwear that will inspire a love for art and reading in kids one pair at a time and create more exposure to deserving children's book authors and illustrators. Our ultimate goal for ARTWALKS is to expand into little and big kids sizes with a variety of designs and become the platform and voice for advocating creativity and reading for children of all ages.
