We Quit Our Corporate Jobs To Travel The World Together

We are Scott and Collette Stohler and we run the travel blog, Roamaroo. Together, we’re a creative couple on a mission to redefine the American dream.

Collette graduated from an Ivy League University, Scott graduated from a top engineering school, we had secure jobs in Los Angeles and a home to call our own. While everything looked great on paper, we didn’t feel fulfilled in the lives we were leading. We were tired of working for someone else’s dreams and decided we wanted to live our own personal dream.

In June 2015, we decided we had enough of the corporate America rat race so we quit our jobs as desk jockeys and set off for an around the world trip. What was originally supposed to be a 7-month career break has turned into our full-time jobs.

As influencers, we now create photography, video and written content for travel brands around the world.

Fun Facts About Our Travels:

• A Rolf Potts & Tim Ferriss podcast called “Vagabonding” motivated us to quit our jobs to travel.

• We’ve traveled to nearly 70 countries.

• Our favorite countries have been South Africa and New Zealand.

• Our favorite cities are Istanbul and Amsterdam.
