Small group of 3 people were drinking beer and talking about Anime. We compared stories, characters and plots of our favorite series. "Wouldn't it be great if we can make something to attribute to the Anime society?", one of us noticed. Short silence, than few sips, and finally smiles on our faces showed that we were hooked to this thought.
A few beers later the hype was real. We had a brainstorming in the middle of the bar, throwing some crazy ideas. From creating our own Anime, to opening a new Social Network...
Using Occam's razor we found our most realistic idea - Anime Live Wallpapers app for Android. "O.K.", I kept it to myself, "let see how long will we stay hyped about it."
One week later we had our first prototype. Shared it with a few people and got terrific response - everyone wanted to see it live and actually use it. I was so wrong, hype didn't disappear, we were on fire!
One more week and app was released on the Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lw.targetlab.anime). It is free, and it has around 10k users atm. 10 000! It uses GIPHY as GIF database, so users can enjoy around 150k different live wallpapers.
Yeah, we should drink more beer xD. Peace!
