My daughter, Navi, has type 1 diabetes. She was diagnosed three years ago at the age of seven. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease affecting 1.25 million Americans. People with type 1 diabetes have to closely monitor their blood sugars and require insulin injections daily to stay alive. Type 1 diabetes has no cure.
As her mom, all I want to do is fix things for her. I can't take diabetes away from her so I came up with the idea to raise as much money as I can for type 1 diabetes research to find a cure by #flossingfortype1. Flossing, the cool dance move you see everyone doing.
We've collected lots of videos from all over the world and made a few funny ones ourselves. From flossing variations to Frozen floss to Star Wars floss, we are going to fund a cure for type 1 diabetes. And have some fun.
