Heterochromia, the variety of iris, is a rare ailment that affects about 1% of people. However, ailment is not quite a word, because it is associated negatively, and eyes cut in different colors are fascinating!
Heterochromia can be hereditary, associated with a genetic defect, or acquired. This is congenital from a gene mutation that is responsible for the distribution of the dye - melanin. How it unfolds in our iris depends on the color of our eyes. The variety of iris is very different. Apparently it is now when one eye is different in color than the other. But heterochromia can also be sectoral - when the fragment of the iris is of a different color, it is dominant.
For me, heterochromia is beautiful and always caused me fascination. As a portrait photographer, I decided to create a series of photos with people who have colorful iris. #varicoloreds is a series of portraits in which you'll see fantastic people who can show you not only colorful personality, but also colorful iris. Each one of them is completely different, and creating these photos is a wonderful adventure for me.
After months of work on this project I decided to show you this never published pictures.
