We’re the team of a small indie game company called “Parizagames Ltd.”. We’re honored to present you our project for developing interactive visualization of the “Tsarevets” fortress – the main stronghold of the Second Bulgarian Empire! During the time from around 1185 to 1393 this was a mighty castle housing the royal and the patriarchal palaces. Nowadays there are mostly ruins left from the once glorious fortress and the site is popular tourist attraction.
What is this all about?
The idea behind this project is to create virtual visualization of the “Tsarevets” fortress where you can walk inside the castle in first-person in real-time. The project pretty much resembles a video game with virtual restoration of the buildings, the environment and the characters of the medieval town.
So far we have created a demo reconstruction of the “Royal Palace” yard. The work was based on historical and archeological researches. This served as “proof on concept” where we managed to test all technologies that will be used to develop the full project.
Where are we going?
Right now we’re running “Indiegogo” campaign to raise funds that will be invested the development of the project. We have developed the demo visualization in our free time but this is just as much we can do without funding. The plan is to create the reconstruction of the fortress in stages depending on the funding we get from “Indiegogo”.
If you find this project interesting feel free to share it with you friends and be sure to check out our “Indiegogo” page. We have raised over 15% of the minimum financial goal in just over two days!
